To become a member, you have to be recommended
by an existing member and satisfy the specified eligibility
criteria including:
Must be a responsible individual
and committed to all aspects of the club’s aims
and objectives
Must be in gainful employment
or has reasonable means of livelihood known to any
other existing member
Must be married as club activities
revolve around promoting positive family values
Must pay the prevailing one-off
membership joining fee and be committed to meeting
the club’s regular monthly subscriptions and the
occasional mutual levy as circumstances warrant.
There are other prerequisite conditions
for membership. Also note that Lontar is an Ijaw-oriented
UK-based social club.

Club’s Presidential
Trophy is the symbol of office held
by the incumbent President. It serves
as a constant reminder to the President
of his duties to uphold and promote
the values of the club whilst in office.
